Enhance solid / liquid separation Slurry fines and clays are a major problem facing the aggregate producer. The Ciba mining group produces a range of flocculants and filter aids which enhance solid / liquid separation. Typically the gangue (mostly silicate clays) pass to settling ponds or lagoons where fines settle out over time.

Flocculants such as the Ciba® MAGNAFLOC® increase settlement rate allowing for smaller ponds.

The new Ciba® RHEOMAX™ range of rheology enhancing products can offer an environmental alternative to conventional treatment.
