Introduction to our transformation initiative

Ciba works hard to make it fast and easy for you to do business with us. While personal contacts remain the core of our customer relationships, they are being complemented by a state of the art platform for managing our business processes worldwide.

The benefit for you will be timelier, more professional service.

In 2006, we started implementing a global enterprise resource planning (ERP) system based on SAP R/3 technology. Our Italy and UK-based subsidiaries went live with the new system in November 2006; followed by Austria, Germany & Switzerland in May 2007, the Americas in November 2007 and the rest of EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa) in April 2008. The implementation now advances to our subsidiaries based in Asia-Pacific in August 2008.

Many things you are used to will remain the same. For example, you will be able to continue ordering products in the same way you always have. Our product names will remain the same as will our product specifications. Lot (batch) numbers will not change. In addition, our Elemica interfaces will work just as they have in the past.

However, some minor changes will be noticeable when you order from Ciba sites where the new processes and IT system have already been implemented.

We will work closely with you to ensure a seamless transition. Should you require additional information at any point in time, please feel free to contact your Ciba sales or customer service representative as you always have.
